Will Ranveer Singh share a screen with Shah Rukh in Dawn 3? Some days ago, according to the news of an all-India media, it was known that Bollywood Shahensha Amitabh Bachchan will be seen sharing the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in Don 3. This time, Alauddin Khilji aka Ranveer Singh of the screen provoked this news a little more. Rumors within the industry suggest that Ranveer may be seen entertaining the audience in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 or in a cameo role. Farhan, however, has not yet opened his mouth about the script of the film. He only said that the script of the movie is still being written. Don 3 will come to the audience with a strong star cast.

From time to time various news about Don 3 are coming to light. It is sometimes heard that Shah Rukh Khan will also not be seen in Don 3 as Farhan Akhtar has walked out of this film. There were also rumors that Shah Rukh Khan or Rakesh Sharma was moving away from Don 3 to work on Rakesh Sharma’s biopic. But since the work of this film is not starting yet, he has decided to return to Don 3. Ranveer Singh is the new addition to Don 3-Khabar in the midst of speculation about this film.

Shah Rukh Khan Don 3: Shah Rukh’s rejection of Don 3, did the star lose faith in Farhan Akhtar’s departure?
Recently Ritesh Sidwani shared a picture of Farham Akhtar on his Instagram handle. He wrote in the caption, “100% focus when pen and paper come to hand. Comeback as a writer after a long time. Guess what he’s writing about.” From this post of Riteish’s social media, the fans think that Farhan is working on Don 3.

Farhan is not making Don 3! Focused on Jee Le Zara
After the final success of two episodes of Don, why did Superstar Shahrukh Khan leave Don 3? Shah Rukh fans were thinking about this news a few days ago. At that time, the industry was buzzing. In 2018, the box office success of the 186 crore film ‘Zero’ was also zero. Since then, Shahrukh has been tinkering with the script of the film a little more.

SRK Kajol Amitabh Bachchan In Don 3: Shahrukh-Kajol-Amitabh in ‘Don 3’! Returning memories of K3G?
Not only Shahrukh’s withdrawal from Don 3, but Farhan Akhtar too is not writing the script of the movie, there was a buzz in Btown. After that, many people thought that Shahrukh also decided to withdraw himself from Don 3 because of Farhan’s departure.

My charts may be on environmental posters, but I will never be an environmental action poster girl.

The way I make a meal resembles an environmental tragedy. I almost exclusively use the microwave. I don’t take time to enjoy the process: a meal that takes longer than ten minutes is not worth it. It almost always comes in a package. My avocados come from Mexico and my bananas from Angola. It is rare that my food is locally sourced. Or, if it is, I’m not looking at the label enough to notice.

What seems environmentally friendly
This is the opposite of what sustainable seems. The image we have in our mind of the ‘environmentally friendly meal’ is one that comes from the local market; produced on an organic farm with no nasty chemicals and taken home in a paper bag, not a plastic wrapper. Forget the processed junk: it’s meat and vegetables, as fresh as can be. We take the time to prepare it properly, in the oven.

I know my way of eating is low carbon. I’ve studied the data for years. Microwaves are the most efficient way to cook. Local food is often no better than food that comes from faraway continents. Organic food often has a larger carbon footprint. And packaging is only a fraction of the ecological footprint of food and often extends its shelf life.

Bron: Our world in data

Yet it still feels wrong. I know I’m doing the right thing for the environment, yet part of me feels like a traitor. I see the confusion on people’s faces when they hear about my decisions. I’m ashamed that people think I’m a ‘bad’ environmentalist.

Good for the environment is often not good according to our intuition
This problem stems from the fact that what is “good” for the environment often doesn’t match our intuition. Ask people what behaviors are most effective for reducing their carbon footprint, and they’ll talk about recycling, replacing old light bulbs, and eating local food. They often miss the things that really help. Studies have shown this disconnect time and again.

In fact, our radar is off when it comes to eating meat, which some would consider to be one of our most primitive and intuitive behaviors. Grass-fed beef seems to be the eco-friendly option. Hormone free chickens too. But intensive livestock farming in feed slots is often associated with lower environmental costs, despite a higher price when it comes to animal welfare.

This misunderstanding does not stop with food. A plastic bag seems much worse than a paper bag. In fact, the opposite is the case.

Bron: Our world in data

How it looks and how it is

A wood stove seems more environmentally friendly than a gas stove. Many think that coal is a better option than nuclear power, although the latter has much less CO2 emissions and is thousands of times safer. Living in the countryside seems much better than living in a city. There are few places where I feel less ‘green’ than when I’m pressed against the door of the London Underground. A weekend drive to a cottage in the hills seems infinitely more sustainable. But it’s not: dense cities are good for the climate – we can use economies of scale to reduce emissions from transport and services, and if we’re lucky we can even share heating with our neighbors.

Then why are we so often wrong? It probably comes down to the natural fallacy: things that seem more grounded in “natural” properties seem better to us. Or our tendency to ‘apply to nature’, where natural equals good and unnatural equals bad. We are skeptical of synthetic stuff that comes out of a factory.

It is tempting to mock this way of thinking. We can label it as “unscientific” because in many ways it is unscientific. I need not list the countless examples of plants, viruses and compounds that are “natural” but deadly.

But mockery has never been an effective way to bring about change. And maybe another reason why I avoid this easy wipe out is that I haven’t completely got rid of these feelings myself. I still get the instinctive pull for “natural” solutions that seem more grounded in our roots. Working against it requires repeated and sometimes inconvenient efforts.

I have to convince people of a view that seems intuitively wrong to them. It’s hard to undo thousands of years of social programming

We really have a problem here

Yet it is something that we must overcome. The fact that our intuitions are so ‘off’ is a real problem. At a time when the world needs to eat less meat, we see a suspicion against meat substitute products because they are ‘processed’. Now that we have to use less land for agriculture, we are seeing a recent revival of organic farming, which requires more land. When more people have to live in densely populated cities, I hear more people dream of a romantic life in the countryside with a self-sufficient garden plot.

I’m currently writing a book about the opportunity we have to be the first generation to leave the environment in better shape than we found it. I must describe the behavior that moves us forward, not backward. This is a big assignment: I have to convince people of a vision that seems intuitively wrong to them. It’s hard to undo thousands of years of social programming.

Curious and open-minded people often find pleasure in a surprising find. Others are more difficult to convince, especially if their identity is already tied to a certain behavior. I can try to persuade them with hard facts and figures, but that alone probably won’t suffice. Our behavior is rarely based on pure rationality. How we get along to feel is important.

Part of the motivation to live more sustainably is the feeling that you are doing your part. If what we ‘should’ do is at odds with what feels right, then that’s a problem. This means that the social image of sustainability must change. Lab-grown meat, dense cities and nuclear power have a rebranding required. These should become the new emblems of a sustainable future.

Only then – when the image of ‘environmentally friendly’ behavior matches what is effective – will it no longer feel so bad to be a good environmentalist.

The fourth season of Stranger Things has left us wanting more this summer. The successful Netflix series landed in the spring, but its two final chapters were delayed until July 1.

The distance has been one of the great protagonists of the season, with several characters away from Hawkins almost all the time.

This brings us to the most famous love triangle of the cast of Stranger Things characters, the one made up of Nancy (Natalia Dyer) Steve (Joe Keery) y Jonathan (Charlie Heaton).

The series began with Nancy and Steve as a couplebut they both broke up in season 2, which little by little he led the character of Dyer towards Jonathan. Meanwhile, Steve has been evolving as a person to a much greater extent than many other characters.

Season four put a wedge between Nancy and Jonathan, which sort of reconnected her and Steve.

Maya Hawke and her bet for the romantic triangle of Stranger Things

While taking a Vanity Fair lie detector test, Maya Hawkewho plays Robin in Stranger Things, has been questioned about what her pool is for the closure of that love triangle.

The actress pointed out that, in her opinion, Nancy’s true love is her job as a reporter, which will end up taking the character out of Hawkins. Despite this, they tried to get Hawke to answer directly the question of whether Nancy would end up with Steve or Jonathan, to which she said in both cases that she “no”.

Several members of the cast and crew of Stranger Things have spoken out about this three-way romance: the duffer brothers They said that it was difficult for them to resolve the situation because they were very fond of the three characters.

Currently, the Duffers and the other members of the Stranger Things writers room are working on the scripts for the fifth season of the Netflix series, which will be the last. It will be there when we know where the little heart of Nancy Wheeler resides.

From the Writing of 90 Lines.-

On April 10, 1912, the “unsinkable” titanica left for the first and last time for the open sea from the port of Southampton, in the south of England, bound for New York, United States. On board there was 2,223 people between passengers (1,324) and crew (899). A total of 285 passengers traveled in second class. Among them, a girl barely 7 years old named Eva Miriam Hart, his mother Esther and his father Benjamin. Eva had turned seven on January 31, only 2 months and 10 days before getting on the “boat of dreams”.

The little girl was born in the London neighborhood of Ilford, and was the only daughter of Benjamin and Esther, who came from a dramatic first marriage with a man who beat her: she lost nine children before they were one year old.

Benjamin was a carpenter and was dedicated to construction, which in England experienced a brutal collapse around 1910. The economic crisis was playing a trick on him and his family. For this reason, when a great friend who had settled in Canada told him about the enormous opportunities that there were in that country, he did not hesitate to get the tickets. The ship that would take them was the philadelphiabut a big strike canceled the trip and they were relocated to the titanica.

Eva slept during the day and spent the night awake, they say because her mother was very nervous and afraid. In the letter that Esther wrote to her mother – Eva’s grandmother – she spoke wonderful things about the girl. However, in a paragraph she could not prevent her nerves from coming to light: ?There has been no storm, but God knows what it will be like when it happens. I see a vast expanse of sea, no land in sight. The boat rocks from side to side. It is wonderful, although they say that this ship should not be rocked due to its size??

From boat number 14

At 11:40 p.m. on April 14, the Titanic could not totally avoid a huge iceberg, which punctured 5 of the 16 compartments “supposedly airtight” and “designed to retain water in case of hull rupture”. when they called Joseph Bellchief engineer of the monumental ship, he warned the captain Edward Smithto the president of the shipping company that owns the luxurious vessel, Joseph Bruce Ismayand the rest of the crew chiefs, that the “unsinkable” it would only be afloat in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic for two to three hours. He was not wrong at all: the total sinking of the 46,400-tonne mass was recorded at 2:20 a.m. on April 15that is, two hours and forty minutes after the collision that hardly anyone noticed.

Eva Hart was 7 years old when she boarded the Titanic and 91 when she died in 1996. She was the last survivor with memories of the tragedy

Neither did little Eva Hart, who that night, unlike the previous ones, slept soundly. Ella’s father Benjamin de ella covered her with a blanket, scooped her up in her arms, and carried her up on deck, where she and her mother got on wooden boat number 14. The Titanic had 16 lifeboats deployed in full view of the world and four deployable, with a total capacity of less than half of those traveling on the ship. Even so, fifteen minutes before one in the morning, the first boat with 28 people on board was launched into the water, despite having a capacity for 65.

?I never closed my eyes?

At the age of 7, Eva recorded everything that happened on her retinas. Between screams, violence and lack of control, when the boat began to move away from the Titanic, she saw how the ship’s fifth officer, Harold Lowe, began firing into the air to prevent a group of men from climbing from the deck. Lowe, after putting the passengers to safety, was the only one who returned to rescue people: “too late”.

During an interview in 1993, Eva told the most chilling account of the sinking, the one that marked her for the rest of her life and that she recorded in detail:

He gave them his coat, which in its pocket had the only surviving letter written on board the ship on the day of the sinking. In 2014 it was sold at auction for nearly £120,000.

Eva remembered that the orchestra was playing the anthem Close to you Lord. These were the final moments of the Titanic.

?I saw that ship sink. I didn’t close my eyes. I didn’t fall asleep. I saw it, I heard it, I could never forget it??

?I can remember the colors, the sounds, everything? The worst thing I can remember is the screaming??

She passed away in 1996 at the age of 91, making her one of the last Titanic survivors to die.”

A fact of color: the character of Rose in the cinematographic mega-production of james cameronplayed by actress Kate Winsletsettled for more than one passenger, but mainly on the story of Eva.

Eva Hart was a judge in England and later she dedicated herself to singing in Australia. Over time, she became one of the staunchest critics of the shipping company that owned the Titanic -the White Star Line? and the handling they did before, during and after the tragedy.

What happened to the life of…

Joseph Bruce Ismay. The president of the White Star Line, the shipping company that manufactured the Titanic, saved his life because he got into a boat when chaos was complete on board as a result of the imminent sinking. The commission that investigated the tragedy in the United Kingdom acquitted him, considering that he “had helped many passengers to board other lifeboats and that he only got on the last one when he considered that he could not do anything else”. The citizens of his country and the US press did not think the same, who marked him as one of those most responsible for the disaster. He lived the rest of his life between depression and ostracism?.

The rich ?drown less?

If a true story, excellently told in the 1997 film, reflects the insulting social inequalities of our everyday world, that is the story of the Titanic. The terrible scenes of the James Cameron film in which the third class passengers are not allowed to go up on deck despite the fact that the water was already reaching them, or the one of the mother of a boy and a girl explaining to their children that they should wait that the first class would board the boats and then do it themselves (something that never happens), are just two examples.

It is worth reviewing the numbers of passengers, deaths and survivors to have a photograph of a ship that already in 1912 he told us what the world would be like in 2022:

?There were 329 first class passengers on board. 199 survived (60.5%)

-285 second class passengers. 119 survived (41.7%)

-710 third class passengers. 174 survived (24.5%)

-There were 899 crew members on board. 214 survived (23.8%)

-Captain Smith and Engineer Bell went down with the ship. The president of the shipping company, Ismay, got on a boat and the English justice acquitted him

?My father made us get on a boat. He told me to be a good girl and not to let go of my mother’s hand: at that moment I realized that he was not coming with us and that he would not see him again?.

He gave them his coat, which in its pocket had the only surviving letter written on board the ship on the day of the sinking. In 2014 it was sold at auction for nearly £120,000.

Eva remembered that the orchestra was playing the anthem Close to you Lord. These were the final moments of the Titanic.

The passage of Typhoon Nanmadol in Japan killed four people and injured more than 100 over the weekend, the government spokesman said on Tuesday (September 20). The typhoon made landfall on Sunday evening near Kagoshima in the southwest of the country and brought strong winds and heavy rain to the big island of Kyushu before moving northeast along the coast of the Japanese sea.

Having gradually lost speed, it was downgraded Tuesday morning to an extratropical cyclone. But in Kyushu, the storm toppled trees, smashed windows, swelled rivers and dumped a month’s worth of rain in twenty-four hours on parts of Miyazaki prefecture, where two deaths were confirmed.

Government spokesman Hirozaku Matsuno said two more people had been found. “without vital signs”a term used in Japan before a death is officially certified by a doctor.

The toll could rise further as authorities were checking to see if two other deaths were related to the typhoon and they were also looking for a missing person, Matsuno added.

In addition, at least 114 people were injured, 14 of them seriously, said the government spokesman. As of early Tuesday, around 140,000 homes were still without power across the country, mostly in Kyushu.

Typhoon season peaks from August to September in Japan, where it is marked by heavy rains that can cause sudden floods and deadly landslides. Scientists estimate that climate change is increasing the intensity of storms and making extreme weather events more frequent.

There are days when you want to turn off your brain and enjoy some old-fashioned action: that is, dishing out punches, shotguns, or sword strikes without having to worry about complex mechanics, stamina meters, or running miles and miles of scenery.

That is, broadly speaking, the hack and slash formula, a genre that a few years ago was in very good health, but with the rise of soulslike has been running out of steam. And although its name can be misleading, Soulstice is hack and slash through and through.

This game, which arrives today on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC, is the new work of Reply Game Studios and it is an AA that strictly follows the manual written by Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Can you keep up with him or do you fail? Let’s find out in the soulstice review.

Notched Greatsword

Soulstice puts us in the role of a chimera, which is a kind of physical and spiritual union between two people; in this case, the sisters Briar and Lute. Briar retains his physical appearance, as well as superhuman strength and agility from the transformation. While Lute becomes a specter that accompanies her everywhere and supports her with her spiritual powers.

Soulstice – New RPG Announcement Trailer

As part of the Order of the Ashen Edge, made up of chimeras, the sisters head towards the city of Ilden, which has been invaded by an army of wraiths who have murdered and corrupted its people. And so, an adventure begins that takes us from the outskirts of the city to the very center.

Save honest exceptions, history is not usually the strong point of hack and slash. In Soulstice it is not either, and although that does not seem like a problem to us, what is problematic is its effort to make us believe that the world and the characters are not clichés with legs… But even the most “amazing” plot twist can be seen coming from miles away.

But as we said at the end, the story is the least important in these games; what matters is the gameplay. And in that aspect, those responsible for Soulstice have taken the template of the last Devil May Cry and Bayonetta and have traced it as is.

Everything is extremely similar: the controls, the way to carry out variations of the attacks, the consumable items, the unlocking of skills, the statistics screen after beating an encounter, the development divided into levels of linear design, the hidden side missions… .

From the moment we start the game, everything reminds us of the kings of the genre (and we’re not exaggerating, because the initial level starts in medias res and in style… exactly the same as both Bayonetta).

That doesn’t mean that Soulstice also has a few more or less original ideas. On the one hand, there are Lute’s counterattacks, which we can perform if we press the button in time when the indicator is shown on the enemy.

Soulstice

The grace of these counterattacks is that we can do them on the move or in the middle of a combo, so they don’t break the rhythm of the fighting. On the contrary, they are designed so that we can continue attacking without having to dodge enemy attacks.

On the other hand, and also thanks to Lute, we have the fields. There are special enemies, easily identifiable by its red or blue color, which can only be damaged when we activate one of the two available fields. These fields can only be active for a limited time, but if we attack, that time is increased, which invites us to adopt an offensive posture.

We have mixed feelings with this mechanic, because seems to us to restrict to some extent the effectiveness of our actionsespecially when red and blue enemies are combined in the same encounter.

Soulstice

In Soulstice, like in Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, we also have a transformation that allows us to assume for a few seconds a form in which both sisters are invincible and have access to powerful attacks. It is a very spectacular transformation that even has a short video sequence every time we activate it and a powerful finishing attack.

The most interesting thing is that in order to transform we must play well, combining the skills of both sisters until we reach a state of synchrony.

Devil May Cry 5 Review

If we dodge enemy attacks too often or directly get hit, the synchronicity is broken and we must start from scratch.

In addition to all this, as we progress through the adventure we are unlocking access to new secondary weapons (fists, bow, whip…) between which we can alternate on the fly. There is a good variety, and each one is useful against a certain type of enemy, so we are invited to use them all.

Soulstice

The problem – and this is where the real problems with Soulstice begin – is the limited variety of attacks available. Even though the weapons work differently, on a mechanical level they are all controlled the same way and have pretty much the same unlockable abilities.

What is really worrying about this is that the repertoire of attacks at our disposal is quite, quite limited and that ends up affecting the fun.

To give you an idea, the sword, which is the basic weapon that we carry equipped at all times, has access to a total of four attacks during an important part of the adventure: the normal combo, the combo with pause, the air attack and the onslaught. And that’s it, that’s all.

Soulstice

In other genres that may be enough, but in one that has always bet on and even rewarded variety when it comes to attacking… It’s a number that falls extremely short.

That by the way, put to imitate what was seen in Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, they might have already copied the way the dash is executed in those games as well (with the enemy fixed, tilt the joystick forward and press the attack button), because we are not convinced at all about having to press a direction of the joystick twice.

And between that, and it failing even when we have target lock on, it goes from being one of the most useful moves… to one of the most useless.

Soulstice

And while we’re talking about goal setting… the camera is horrible. In general, Soulstice bets on fixed cameras, but the perspective often plays tricks and makes us hit the air instead of what interests us. Fixing the camera on an enemy usually only serves to make them go crazy and make us dizzy, so its use is not recommended.

The exploration, unfortunately, has not convinced us either. The biggest of his problems is that all the scenarios are too similar visually; because when we leave a destroyed citadel to get into the sewer to go back out to the destroyed citadel to get back into the sewer… it is clear that something is wrong.

To this we must add that the small puzzles and platforming phases that dot the levels do not shine for their quality either, and we immediately get tired of having to break glass to access the next room.

Soulstice

At least we can say that Soulstice has a good audiovisual side, especially if we take into account that it is a production with a reduced budget. Visually it’s a powerful title, with graphics with a touch of cel-shading that suits it wonderfully and an artistic section with leanings towards anime (the influence of Berserk and Claymore is undeniable).

The soundtrack is also convincing, thanks to the powerful themes that animate the battles. We have to highlight the voices of the sisters, both performed by Stefanie Joosten, whom you will surely remember for her role as Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. In Soulstice she has shown to have a good record by voicing two very different characters.

Twelve episodes will make up each of the two seasons that Andor will have, so, despite the fact that the series has not yet premiered on Disney +, some are already thinking about the second season.

However, the wait will not be short once we have finished the two months in which Cassian Andor will accompany us in his Star Wars series.

Andor will not be returning to Disney+ anytime soon

The showrunner of Andor, and screenwriter of Rogue One, Tony Gilroyhas sat down with The Wrap to discuss the premiere of the new Star Wars series.

During the interview, Gilroy highlighted that the second season of Andor will start filming in November 2022, and will last approximately until August 2023.

However, the showrunner has indicated that, once the cameras finish filming, a long post-production awaits them, which, according to the times handled by the first season, will be around a year.

This implies that Andor may not be back on Disney+ until the second half of 2024 or even early 2025. Although it’s not like we’re going to run out of Star Wars content during that time.

At the moment, we have 12 episodes to dive into this thriller starring Diego Luna and set in a galaxy far, far away, which will be Andor’s first season on Disney+.

Heartwarming to the point of exhaustion

In Here and Now (Here Today)a veteran and successful comedy writer named Charlie Berns (Billy Crystal), is dealing with a type of dementia very similar to Alzheimer’s; caused by a past trauma, which manifests itself in his mind in the form of hallucinations that sometimes distort his reality. Charlie forgets even names of people close to him, situations, or even the route to his work, and seeks help in therapy and mental reinforcement exercises, in order to cope with his situation. But one day, for things in life, he meets the outgoing Emma Payge (played by Tiffany Haddish), a talented street singer. And although their first meeting is doomed to disaster, these two soon end up being great friends in the most unexpected way. Does it ring a bell? Surely yes.

Here and now it has all the makings of a tearjerker romantic comedy, but its script is overly kind, even when it comes to degenerative disease or death. It tries to show how true friendship and love cross any barrier or generation, but it goes beyond its message. This does not mean that we can enjoy occasional touches of humor that are certainly fun.

It is not something that has not been seen in other dramatic or comedy films, where two subjects who seem very different suddenly meet and realize themselves together, forming a tender and close-knit couple. The duo between Crystal y Haddish you get to like it at times, but it looks too nice and cloying in general shots. A carpe diem loudly, which may not convince the most skeptical public, who would perhaps expect a little more conflict in this altruistic and carefree plot.

Only one tripulante on board

Here and Now (Here Today) it is almost entirely about Charlie. His work as a screenwriter, his family problems and his fight against that dementia that threatens to destroy his mind. In this sense, Crystal does a very good job, making us laugh and cry with his character. But if we eliminate the main character from the equation, and analyze the other characters, we see that they are not remarkable at all.

It is interesting to see the different aspects of his life. How she must deal with his illness in secret, or the difficult but not lost family situation; or how he performs his work in his position, directing and writing the scripts for a television program (It is very entertaining to see how it is carried out, the rehearsals, the meetings…). But what about the rest? Because it gives the impression that the others are only there to accompany, not to offer anything in particular.

Haddish he enjoys his character, and it shows, but he doesn’t stand out or come as a surprise. She does exactly what one would expect in this genre of cinema, like a Mary Poppins who falls from the sky to fix the problems of a family outside her; something too recurring. If we talk about the rest of the cast, it can simply be said that they pass without pain or glory.

Here and now It has humor and really moving moments. However, leaving all the burden to one character, and expecting everything to work out with it, can lead to disaster. A good approach has been withered by the limited interpretive contributions of the cast, an exaggeratedly friendly development even when it should not be, and a notable lack of originality in the argument. Nevertheless, as I have said before, Billy Crystal manages to excite us at various times and by the way get us a few laughs.

here and now movie

Conclusion of ‘Here and Now’

Here and Now (Here Today) is a tear-jerking dramatic comedy, which goes on a ship managed by a single sailor. He amuses and moves on numerous occasions, but he is overly friendly, even when he shouldn’t be. If we subtract from the equation, the stupendous interpretation of Billy Crystal, the rest of the cast and their characters have little to offer. A good approach that has been withered by a non-innovative argument, and an excessively cloying development, which leaves practically all the weight of the plot to the protagonist. Nonetheless, Crystal manages to excite us at various times and by the way get us a few laughs.

Mario Masson has lost his taste for spectacle. At 62, the trainer of big cats no longer wants to set foot under a marquee, even to sit in the stands. The former boss of the Maximum circus has drawn a line under the star track and sold his costumes studded with sequins.

With his wife, he put his caravan in a small village in the Loiret whose name he wishes to conceal. “The morale is gone, I want to be left alone”, sighs the man who has spent four decades wielding the whip for the big names in the circus, Bouglione, Gruss or Zavatta, taming horses, dromedaries, elephants and, above all, tigers, these unpredictable colossi to whom you must never turn your back.

Trapped in their truck

The trainer has been brooding since justice confiscated his last tigers in December 2020. Three males and seven females with white, golden or red coats, which he rented to circuses and produced on set. ?The prettiest tigers in France?, swears the tamer, whose trial will take place in the Beauvais court on Tuesday, September 20. One Voice, an association for the defense of animals, accuses him of ” bad treatments “ towards his felines, an offense punishable by one year in prison and a fine of 15,000 euros.

?It’s a witch hunt against the profession (?). To take our animals is to destroy the investment of a life. » William Kerwich, president of a group of trainers

Mario Masson will also have to answer for a dozen other offenses related to his activity. He is notably suspected of having bred and sold tigers without authorization, a traffic that can bring in several thousand euros per feline.

Muriel Arnal, the president of One Voice, awaits an exemplary sanction. “I hope that the animals will be permanently taken away from him and that he will no longer have the right to own them”, confides this admirer of the primatologist Dian Fossey, who has scrapped with the Circassians for twenty years.

The battle for “the prettiest tigers in France” began three years earlier, in the open countryside, in Blacourt, a town in the Oise department of 600 souls. At the beginning of 2019, amazed walkers saw, in the courtyard of a disused factory, big cats locked in a cage truck. Neighbors sometimes hear them hissing.

This discovery worries the One Voice association, which manages to film the trailer for six days in a row. The images show tigers trapped in their truck, far from regulatory obligations ? according to a decree of March 18, 2011, animals must stay at least four hours a day in an outdoor space called a relaxation cage.
